"I can only compare the experience of The San Francisco Starlight Orchestra dance to the one Tommy Albright must have had when he lost his way and stumbled upon the village of Brigadoon. The San Francisco Starlight Orchestra has a magical effect, transforming the basketball court of the Strawberry Recreation Center into a dance hall that's been hiding in the misty memories of those who danced and romanced, never realizing their era would someday fade away. It's a place where women wear their best frocks, men demonstrate long lost manners and grace and everyone can dance their troubles away."

"We're extremely fortunate to have Cynthia Glinka, San Francisco's top terpsichorean tutor at our dances. She gets the novices gliding and reminds the lapsed of what they once knew so well."
